Hook up your Things to code

To make use of interactions in Iotic Space, your Thing’s virtual presence needs to be linked to a python application. You can create and run your code anywhere: a dedicated device, computer, or the cloud.

Your Things must communicate via Iotic Agents. These contain verification credentials, making them the gatekeepers of Iotic Space.

There are three steps to setting up an agent.

  1. Create a new Iotic Agent in the Space app
  2. Assign Things to an Agent
  3. Organise your file directory

How it works

The diagram below visualises how the Iotic system works.

Note: to communicate with Iotic Space you need to setup your computer or device by downloading Python3 and the py-IoticAgent.
