Terminal

Note: Before running an Iotic application, you must first setup your computer by installing Python and py-IoticAgent.

To run your code, and start receiving data, you need to run your Thing’s application.

1. Open a Terminal

The best way to run your python scripts is from the command line in a terminal emulator program.

2. Define the PYTHONPATH or VirtualEnv

  • If you have installed py-IoticAgent globally, you can skip this step.
  • If you have installed it to a specific directory, you will need to define the PythonPath:

export PYTHONPATH=`pwd`/3rd:`pwd`/src

  • If you have used VirtualEnv, you will need to activate it first:

venv/bin/activate

3. Run the Thing’s .py application
